About the role

  • Director of US Marketing driving Abbott’s success in the Structural Heart TAVI portfolio. Overseeing marketing strategy development, sales, and product launch initiatives for market growth.

Responsibilities

  • The US Director of Marketing is the core marketing owner and driver of the success for the Abbott, Structural Heart, TAVI portfolio.
  • This is a general management and team leadership role that requires Marketing strategy development and oversight while contributing to and influencing all facets of Sales and Marketing within the division.
  • Maintain US product/ solutions/ clinical applications expertise for products/franchises.
  • Provide on-going support of new product/ solutions/ clinical applications development including customer requirements definition, product concept validation, financial analysis, and securing Business Unit commitment through market launch.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify synergies, best practices and elevate the marketing team's output and effectiveness.
  • Create demand for ABT TAVI products and create tools to support the annual US Commercial sales plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • MBA or Master’s degree is preferred
  • 10+ years of experience with or exposure to sales and/or marketing in the following areas: healthcare, medical devices, or medical diagnostics to develop the competence required to meet the skills and responsibilities of the position
  • Possess understanding of the technology and capabilities of the Division's products
  • Strong understanding of market and customer dynamics and understanding of sales processes
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting medical devices/diagnostics
  • Ability to develop, rationalize and present strategy
  • Strong managerial skills relative to time, budget and people
  • Can work independently, in groups, and cross-functionally
  • Ability to apply analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and critical-thinking skills
  • Comfortable to make decisions where there are competing demands
  • Clearly, concisely and accurately communicates whether verbal, written or in presentations
  • Strong aptitude to use various types of databases and other computer software.
