Commodity Sales professional responsible for client acquisition and revenue growth in derivatives. Building relationships in India, Middle East, and Singapore regions through strategic sales and client management.
Responsibilities
Execute a focused sales strategy for institutional trading firms to grow trading volumes and open interest in listed commodity derivatives in a target driven environment.
Identify, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with cross segment Indian firms trading from Singapore, India and Dubai.
Conduct client visits, roadshows, and product workshops as required.
Analyse client activity, market share, and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
Understand client hedging, trading, and investment needs and propose solutions using listed derivatives.
Collect and distribute feedback internally via HubSpot platform and presentation regular business updates to management.
Educate clients on cross border market access channels, trading and clearing arrangements, and the use of offshore contracts to complement onshore risk management.
Contribute to marketing campaigns, webinars, roadshows, and industry events to raise the profile of the exchange’s commodity franchise.
Work closely with Onboarding teams to ensure a seamless client experience from onboarding through live trading.
Prepare regular business reviews, market intelligence reports, and strategy updates for regional and global management.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree or professional qualification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is an advantage.
5–10+ years of experience in commodity derivatives sales or closely related roles at an exchange, broker, bank, FCM, or trading house.
Strong understanding of derivatives, margining, and clearing, with specific experience in OTC to futures trading with physical related clients.
Demonstrated track record of building and managing institutional or corporate client relationships and achieving commercial targets.
Familiarity with exchange trading platforms, market data, and typical front-to-back workflows in derivatives markets.
