About the role

  • Lead the demand generation team to devise strategies that drive MQLs and SQLs.
  • Oversee field marketing initiatives and provide leadership to the demand gen and potentially the SDR/BDR inside sales team.
  • Optimize marketing spend across channels to improve cost per MQL, cost per opportunity, and cost per closed won.
  • Lead initiatives to increase pipeline created dollars, enhancing pipeline-to-spend ratio.
  • Establish and strengthen our brand in competitive markets, doubling down on our market leadership.
  • Implement creative strategies to differentiate our brand through guerrilla marketing and unconventional tactics.
  • Boost brand visibility and recognition by leveraging key marketing channels and market trends.
  • Drive new opportunity creation, managing marketing activities to optimize conversions from MQL to demos and demos to opportunities.
  • Track and report marketing performance metrics tied to pipeline creation, cost efficiency, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with sales and product teams to align marketing initiatives with revenue targets and goals.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team capable of elevating our market presence.
  • Work closely with the CEO on content marketing strategy and GTM (Go-To-Market) engineering strategy.
  • Nurture team growth, foster a collaborative culture, and ensure career development paths align with company objectives.
  • Create and maintain robust marketing processes and systems for scalability and reliability.
  • Develop structured reporting and dashboards to monitor marketing KPIs and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Work closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with business goals.
  • Collaborate on product launches, ensuring cohesive messaging across all marketing touchpoints.

Requirements

  • SaaS Marketing Leadership: 10+ years in marketing within a SaaS environment; at least 5+ years leading marketing teams in a high-growth startup setting.
  • Scaling Expertise: Must have experience scaling growth-stage startups as a hands-on strategic leader, ideally managing growth from $15M to $50M. Experience in a $20M to IPO journey is even more desired.
  • Metric-Driven Growth: Proven success driving MQL, SQL, and pipeline growth; adept at analyzing and improving complex marketing metrics.
  • Innovative Marketing Strategies: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative marketing initiatives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Executive Presence: Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and build trust with senior leadership and external partners.
  • Brand Strategist: Experience in brand building and positioning in highly competitive markets.
  • Start-Up Savvy: Experience operating in dynamic startup environments, comfortable with pace and change, and capable of building structures from the ground up.
