About the role

  • Provide support and administration for Local Area Network (LAN) and Wireless environments.
  • Respond to incident tickets and service requests related to network devices.
  • Identify and report on network issue resolution in accordance with incident and problem management processes, policies, procedures and service level agreements.
  • Execute network management and troubleshooting activities (e.g., fault, performance, problem, change and capacity management) following the client's established processes.
  • Collaborate with communications service providers and associated infrastructure vendors to carry out operations (e.g., incident handling, problem management, etc.).
  • Administer and maintain data network services (e.g., network hardware, system software) required to deliver services.
  • Manage DNS records (add, modify and remove entries).
  • Monitor the environment using monitoring tools and perform proactive monitoring activities.
  • Notify, engage and escalate to the necessary teams and clients in the event of network outages.
  • Perform daily network operations and management tasks.
  • Perform maintenance and provide audit information, including access and general logs.
  • Maintain and analyze application logs in accordance with client policies.
  • Keep documentation, procedures and network topologies up to date and available (e.g., network device configurations for routers and switches, VLANs, routing diagrams, IP routing tables, equipment inventories (hardware/software)).
  • Maintain up-to-date, detailed information about links (e.g., medium, location, speed).
  • Maintain and provide new "as-built" documentation for all network devices (including firewalls) deployed across managed environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.
  • Advanced conversational English.
  • Experience in LAN administration.
  • Knowledge/experience with Cisco (routing & switching).
  • Preferred experience in WiFi network administration, preferably Aruba.
  • Preferred experience in firewall administration (preferably Palo Alto and/or Fortinet).
  • Cisco certification is desirable.
