About the role

  • As a Technical Presales Consultant, you are a central part of our sales team.
  • You actively support the entire sales process from requirements analysis and the proposal phase through to final demos and workshops — translating complex requirements between business and technology.
  • Requirements analysis & solution design
  • Analyze customer needs in both business and IT
  • Develop customer-specific solution concepts based on the EMIL Insurance Suite
  • Create technical architecture proposals including APIs, modules, and surrounding systems
  • Demo & workshop ownership
  • Design, prepare and deliver demos (live environment & use-case specific)
  • Run technical workshops (remote and on-site) for business and IT decision-makers
  • Tender & proposal support
  • Support RFI/RFP processes with technical specifications
  • Produce feasibility analyses, architecture sketches, and implementation recommendations
  • Interface between Sales, Product & Tech
  • Feed market requirements back into product development
  • Closely coordinate with project teams, Customer Success, and partners
  • Sales collateral & enablement
  • Prepare technical pitch decks, business and technical implementation concepts, architecture slides, technical appendices, etc.
  • Support during onboarding processes

Requirements

  • Degree or training in (business) informatics, computer science, or IT vocational training at an insurance company
  • Very strong technical foundation and hands-on experience in software development and IT integration, including familiarity with relevant tools
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution engineering, or an IT consulting role
  • Excellent technical understanding of insurance application landscapes, APIs, integrations, and cloud infrastructures
  • Understanding of core insurance business processes (policy administration, claims, partners, rating/pricing)
  • Strong communicator, confident when engaging with both IT and business stakeholders on the client side
  • Native-level German and good English, both written and spoken
