About the role

  • Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and KPIs to support growth at a clinician-led behavioral health and addiction care provider.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the entire financial model including cash flow forecasts (weekly, monthly, quarterly), budget vs. actuals, runway calculations, and working capital analysis
  • Oversee Controller, revenue cycle, external accountants, bookkeeping, and cash flow management
  • Drive strategic planning and forecasting: build FP&A forecasting models, run scenario planning, create annual budgets and rolling 12–18 month forecasts, and perform break-even analyses
  • Collaborate with growth, operations, and clinical leads to evaluate hiring, pricing, payer contracts, and expansion initiatives
  • Lead analysis on new service lines, M&A opportunities, and operational optimization
  • Lead performance and growth metrics: revenue forecasting models, CAC/LTV and retention economics, profitability metrics (EBITDA, net margin, gross margin), and build a Key KPIs dashboard for executive monitoring
  • Ensure compliance and audit readiness: GAAP alignment, tax preparedness, and clean financial records
  • Manage cap table and equity modeling (dilution scenarios, option pool planning) if applicable
  • Integrate finance technology (FP&A, ERP, BI, Fathom, AI tools) to scale the finance function
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and financial policies and identify opportunities to streamline financial processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required
  • CPA or MBA a plus (not required)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in investment banking, strategic finance, FP&A, consulting, or high-growth startups (minimum 3 years required)
  • Backgrounds in Big Four audit/advisory, or healthcare revenue cycle finance considered
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry required; MSO and ACO structures a plus
  • Proven ability to build financial models, budgets, and forecasts and translate insights into strategic recommendations
  • Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Xero and payroll systems like Rippling or ADP
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with bill pay, project management, and data visualization tools
  • Ability to oversee controller, revenue cycle, external accountants, bookkeeping, and cash flow management
  • Location Requirements: Hybrid schedule with three in-office days per week at corporate headquarters in Midtown Manhattan; must reside in or near the NYC metropolitan area (applicant confirmation required)
