About the role

  • You'll develop and implement advanced methodologies to generate long-term forecasts for materials, ensuring alignment with project timelines and client needs.
  • You'll coordinate material needs among stakeholders, including client capital project organization, supply chain organization, and engineering & construction alliance partners, ensuring seamless communication and execution across teams.
  • You'll represent the project team in material procurement discussions with other project stakeholders, driving decisions that support project goals.
  • You'll provide subject matter expertise to the Project Team on material request development, procurement strategies, material availability, and delivery timelines.
  • You'll coordinate with client capital project organization, supply chain, and alliance partners to prioritize projects based on commitments and total material availability.
  • You'll lead and/or actively participate in project team progress and status update meetings, providing critical insights on material availability and logistics.
  • You'll monitor material requests, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project needs.
  • You'll ensure material delivery is in accordance with the construction schedule, coordinating with client supply chain organization and engineering & construction alliance partners as necessary.
  • You'll track material requests for availability and lead times, ensuring timely delivery and project execution.
  • You'll analyze material data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and maintain comprehensive material reports for internal and client use.
  • Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Materials Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; OR 10 years equivalent experience with a high school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and understand utility construction documents and specifications, with a thorough knowledge of all phases of utility electrical distribution, transmission, and/or substation system construction
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships, providing exceptional service and fostering collaboration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs
  • Proven ability to work effectively with others in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with co-workers, partners, clients, contractors, and consultants
  • Proficiency in the use of Maximo or similar Inventory Management Systems, including the ability to perform queries, data extraction, and data formatting for reporting
