About the role

  • Motivate and drive a team of Medicare Sales Field Agents who sell individual health plan products and educate beneficiaries in a field setting
  • Coach, mentor, educate, motivate and train a team of sales individuals
  • Sell Life, Annuity, Indemnity, Dental, Vision, Prescription plans, and more
  • Cultivate, maintain, and build relationships with Humana’s customers, internal and external business partners, and the community through telephonic, virtual, and face-to-face interactions
  • Develop marketing budgets and look for branding opportunities
  • Resolve operational problems and provide creative solutions to increase sales while following CMS guidelines
  • Be field based in the Nashville, Chattanooga, and Knoxville TN area and meet members face to face
  • Travel as needed (up to 50%) and occasionally visit Humana offices for training or meetings
  • Use technology tools and CRM platforms to support sales and reporting

Requirements

  • Must reside in the Nashville, TN area or be willing to relocate
  • Active Health & Life Insurance Licenses
  • 2 or more years of sales leadership experience
  • 6 or more years of experience working in the insurance industry
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to lead a team of sales associates and train them in successful sales techniques
  • Educational presentation skills
  • Utilizing technology tools as well as building relationships with communities and medical providers
  • Strong aptitude for technology with proficiency in MS Office products, various CRM platforms, and various iPhone app capabilities
  • Must be a strong leader, strong producer
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to adapt and overcome when necessary
  • Community Engagement/Grassroots experience in marketing Medicare plans in the community
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Valid state driver's license and proof of personal vehicle liability insurance with at least 100/300/100 limits
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
  • Preferred: Prior experience working in Medicare and the health solutions industry
  • Preferred: Engaged with the community through service, organizations, activities and volunteerism
  • Preferred: Project management background or certification a plus
  • Preferred: Bilingual with the ability to speak, read and write without limitations or assistance
