About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer managing and scaling cloud infrastructure for an iGaming company. Collaborating with a technical team to enhance operations and optimize systems for performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers to design, implement, and improve cloud infrastructure on AWS, using tools like Kubernetes, Crossplane and ArgoCD
- Champion best practices in GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, promoting secure and consistent environments
- Work with the team to optimize systems for scalability, cost-efficiency, and operational reliability
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Alloy, and others
- Contribute to incident response and root cause analysis, helping continuously improve system stability
- Foster a culture of operational excellence
- Build and refine robust CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, safe deployments for multiple products
- Ensure smooth developer workflows by providing easy-to-use tooling and environments that reduce friction
- Support blue/green and canary deployment strategies to improve release confidence
- Align infrastructure evolution with product needs
- Take ownership of platform reliability and delivery tooling
- Help improve documentation, automation, and internal processes to enhance team efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Kubernetes (ideally using Crossplane and ArgoCD)
- Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) and CI/CD systems
- Experience supporting production systems in performance-critical, 24/7 environments
- Proficient in Linux systems, networking, and cloud security best practices
- Skilled in scripting or programming (Python, Go, or Bash)
- Familiarity with secrets management, policy enforcement, and service discovery
- Understanding of compliance and security practices, even without dedicated InfoSec functions
- Experience in iGaming environments is strongly preferred
