About the role
- Act as Senior Business Development Manager in the commercial team to grow retail finance offering
- Sell and negotiate retail finance deals with retailers (large corporations and SMEs)
- Build long-lasting relationships with retailer partners and internal colleagues
- Influence and drive change as a thought-leader for sector-specific solutions
- Work to KPI targets and deliver sustainable business growth supported by funding
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support sector expansion
- Home-based role with required weekly attendance at London office and periodic visits to Basingstoke office
Requirements
- Proven background in sales/new business development
- Proven track record of selling into retailers
- Well connected in the retail/point-of-sale industry
- Required level of risk knowledge and exposure
- Experience in point of sale or retail finance preferred
- Experience in regulated sales environments (Payments, PSP, EPOS, merchant acquirers) considered
- Experience in home, lifestyle, jewellery, sporting goods, consumer electronics or home improvements advantageous
- Thrives in a KPI driven environment
- Proven ability to develop business within a targeted market sector
- Experience negotiating deals with large corporations and SMEs
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to adapt communication style to audience
