About the role

  • Drive sales of Flygt pumps and water solutions across municipal and hospitality sectors. Manage accounts, tenders, and distributor relationships with international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within municipal, water/wastewater and hospitality sectors
  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to meet and exceed targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform sales tactics
  • Manage and grow existing client accounts through proactive engagement
  • Provide outstanding customer service and technical support
  • Upsell and cross-sell products and services via distributor management
  • Follow up on projects and tenders, ensuring continuity in medium- and long-term technical-commercial processes
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in CRM
  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and CRM updates
  • Coordinate meetings, presentations, and follow-ups
  • Manage invoicing, payment processing, and expense tracking
  • Stay current with industry trends, product innovations, and competitor offerings
  • Educate clients on new products and solutions and support marketing initiatives (trade shows, campaigns)
  • Collaborate with product development teams to share market insights
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute technical expertise to support continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 4+ years of sales experience (water, wastewater, pump, municipal sector and hospitality industries preferred)
  • Strong understanding of consultative/value-based selling
  • Technical knowledge of mechanical and pumping systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, motors)
  • Proficiency in equipment selection software (e.g., Solver)
  • Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required)
  • Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral)
  • Experience managing complex and long-cycle sales processes
  • Strong communication, multilevel negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative team player with mentoring capabilities
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% (international travel primarily to Central America and the Caribbean)
  • Mexican candidates must possess a valid Mexican passport and US visa
