About the role
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in high-growth applications and markets across the Americas
- Develop account acquisition strategies and execute targeted outreach campaigns
- Recruit and enable channel partners; support partner training and joint pursuit strategies
- Meet or exceed sales targets for hardware, software, warranties, and services
- Maintain full active pipeline with accurate CRM forecasting
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales & Account Manager to align tactical initiatives
- Represent Applanix at trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations
- Monitor competitive activity and provide market intelligence to guide product positioning
- Create and deliver presentations communicating Applanix value proposition
- Performance objectives: build pipeline, secure 3–5 strategic accounts, establish channels, achieve double-digit growth and expand into new market segments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Geomatics, or related technical field
- 2–4 years’ sales or business development experience with a demonstrated track record in new business acquisition
- Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- Experience working with or developing channel partners is an asset
- Confident in technical solution selling; geospatial industry experience preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to travel 25–30% within the Americas
- Hunter mindset and proactive outreach for new business development
