About the role

  • Provide analytical support on pricing, pack architecture, promotions, and customer investment.
  • Monitor category, customer, and competitor data to identify risks, opportunities and trends.
  • Deliver monthly revenue performance dashboards and reporting, highlighting key drivers of growth and profitability.
  • Support the execution of RGM initiatives within Joint Business Plans (JBPs) and customer reviews.
  • Contribute to channel-specific analysis (e.g., Discounters, Convenience, eCommerce, Wholesale) to inform strategic choices
  • Assist in building compelling commercial presentations and business cases for internal and customer use.
  • Provide data and insight to support innovation launches and portfolio optimisation.
  • Work with Finance to track promotional ROI and ensure investment decisions are aligned to growth objectives.
  • Support the Manager in identifying portfolio gaps, white space opportunities and pricing strategies.
  • Partner with Category and Marketing teams to bring shopper and consumer insight into RGM recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain on demand planning inputs and implications of commercial decisions.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and scenario modelling to support business planning cycles.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
  • Previous experience in FMCG, retail or a commercial/analytical role desirable (placement year, internship or 1–2 years’ experience).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate into actionable insights.
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with large datasets; experience with Power BI or similar tools advantageous.
  • Experience working with market data (eg. Nielsen)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ambitious, proactive and eager to learn, with a strong interest in building a career in FMCG commercial strategy.
