Responsibilities
Perform a mixture of budget tracking and transactional finance duties to ensure the smooth running of externally funded research projects.
Review expenditure on research grants to reconcile actual costs incurred against the awarded budget.
Provide a range of transactional finance support including standard procurement, processing non-PO payments to partners, and processing non-staff expense claims.
Provide a high level of customer service when dealing with enquiries from project leads, internal stakeholders, or external collaborators or suppliers.
Investigate and resolve queries within a timely fashion.
Advocate a positive, supportive research culture in the School.
Requirements
Aptitude for routine procurement administration.
Awareness of/interest in the management of budgets on externally funded research projects.
Confident communication and relationship-building skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
A strong sense of shared service delivery and customer-focused approach.
High degree of numeracy and awareness of financial/budget modelling.
Strong time-management skills, with the ability to deal with conflicting demands and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
