About the role

  • Working in collaboration with the Ontario Commercial National Accounts teams, the Relationship Manager will be responsible to further develop TDEF as a trusted partner
  • deepen existing internal/external relationships
  • strategically uncover new opportunities
  • prospect and convert new relationships
  • maximize lead generation
  • provide professional level customer service
  • Continually deliver exceptional customer service at every interaction
  • Lead all aspects of relationship management for the assigned portfolio
  • Possess and constantly build deep expert knowledge of the market, industries and broader economy
  • Develop an expertise in TDEF's Value Proposition and broad product suite
  • Identify customer/prospect referral opportunities for the broader Bank
  • Promote TDEF awareness by participating in networking events
  • Act as a brand ambassador for TDEF and the Commercial Bank
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to proactively attract, acquire and retain customers
  • Build new relationships and deepen existing customer relationships through consistent sales activity
  • Meet ongoing activity targets and maintain CRM/pipeline accuracy
  • Negotiate and structure transactions to ensure they meet client and TDEF requirements
  • Manage transactions wing-to-wing including quoting, credit submission, documentation and funding
  • Manage/Monitor the existing portfolio, including ongoing customer service requests, hosting proactive risk discussions and assisting with distressed accounts
  • Work collaboratively with Credit, Operations, Capital Markets and Legal teams through the various stages of each transaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Business
  • 5+ years of sales development and/or customer relationship management experience in equipment finance or the broader financial industry
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative, team-driven environment
  • Superior Business development skills
  • Possesses considerable initiative and ability to build relationships
  • Current knowledge of equipment finance and leasing industry
  • Excellent analytical skills & In-depth knowledge of Financing and Accounting
  • Ability to excel at administration and be exceptionally well organized.
