About the role

  • Lead and coach a team of up to four Territory Managers, providing hands-on coaching, feedback, and driving accountability.
  • Own regional performance while managing your own commercial territory and sales targets.
  • Prospect and generate new business through outbound efforts, attending industry events, and field sales (kitchen tables, on horseback, in pastures).
  • Expand existing accounts and grow product adoption to build long-term value for ranchers and Halter.
  • Manage pipeline, qualify leads, and maintain disciplined sales forecasting while balancing current deals and future pipeline.
  • Manage the full customer experience during onboarding and deployment, ensuring smooth handoffs and advocating for customer success.
  • Treat your territory as your business and build relationships with local, state, and federal agencies, agricultural groups, and key influencers.
  • Gather field learnings and customer feedback to serve as the voice of customers within Halter and improve products and processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve customer issues and partner with internal teams to support regional customers.
  • Represent Halter at industry events, conduct demonstrations, and network to generate leads and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Contribute insights to the US sales strategy to optimize and evolve the sales process for the US market.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in sales, with at least 1 year in a formal or informal leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of cattle operations, pasture-based grazing, or rural agriculture.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound pipeline generation, deal closing, and long sales cycles.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading customer-facing field teams.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within your region.
  • High-performing salesperson who leads from the front and brings others along.
  • Thoughtful coach who can diagnose performance issues, inspire improvement, and give clear feedback.
  • Sharp operator who can juggle pipeline, people, and strategy—without dropping the ball.
  • Confident communicator who’s as comfortable with producers as with internal stakeholders.
