Responsibilities
- Coordinate Cencora's federal and state policy priorities
- Develop and execute policy and advocacy objectives
- Partner with federal and state advocacy teams
- Assist in managing communication with internal leaders
- Support the Head of U.S. Public Policy
- Craft and coordinate development of policy-focused communications
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop messaging and public policy positions
- Monitor and analyze proposed changes in law or policy that impacts businesses
- Represent Cencora in policy-focused venues
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public policy, healthcare administration or similar fields
- 5+ years of experience in public policy, government, public affairs, advocacy, or similar experience
- Thorough understanding of federal and state legislative procedures
- Knowledge of healthcare, CMS, Medicare/Medicaid, pricing and/or pharmaceutical/pharmacy issues
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage internal and external relationships
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Excellent written, verbal communication and advocacy skills
- Excellent judgement and strong political acumen
- Demonstrated ability as a project manager and collaborator
