About the role

  • Play a pivotal role transforming complex data into actionable insights, constructing and validating quantitative models.
  • Extract non-scalable public domain data such as national statistics and trade data and further develop it for use in data estimates.
  • Manipulate internal Euromonitor data such as price tracking and digital share of shelf to build granularity into data estimates.
  • Build global and regional company profiles to be used in company and brand data calculations.
  • Work with forecasting specialists to adapt models for regional markets, flag conflicts, and validate results against primary research.
  • Identify relevant sources and critically evaluate information, recognize gaps in research and take logical steps to find necessary information.
  • Commission and manage in-country analysts for targeted primary research and oversee daily management, communication, querying and admin tasks.
  • Run data checks throughout data manipulation, perform quality control and provide detailed explanations on sources and data triangulation.
  • Analyse large datasets and manipulate them as needed to create meaningful category/country estimates; monitor, review, and clean data for stakeholders while maintaining records and resolving quality issues.
  • Explain and defend research approach to clients when called upon.
  • Collaborate with local specialists and other teams providing big data inputs, scalable data sources and local insight.

Requirements

  • Analytical with strong problem-solving skills, process oriented and quick learner.
  • Excellent communicator with good listening skills and an openness to new ideas.
  • Team player with a collaborative and transparent approach, capable of working in a global environment.
  • Proficiency in English (with other languages an advantage), combined with a high level of numeracy and the confidence to engage trade sources for additional insights.
  • Strong computer literacy, particularly in MS PowerPoint, Word and Excel, with experience of tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
