About the role

  • Conduct detailed research on property characteristics, ownership, and assessment data using county assessor websites, GIS systems, and commercial real estate databases
  • Analyze assessment notices and tax bills for accuracy, identifying discrepancies and potential over-valuations
  • Perform data entry and maintain the integrity of client records, including property tax IDs, payment histories, and critical jurisdictional rules within company databases
  • Validate and update property information based on research findings to ensure accurate reporting
  • Monitor due dates, assessments, and tax bills for commercial portfolios
  • Generate and distribute analytical reports on tax payments, assessment values, upcoming due dates, and potential issues requiring client attention
  • Communicate research findings and recommendations to clients and team members regarding deadlines, discrepancies, or documentation needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of professional office experience; experience in a research or analytical role is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data sorting/filtering
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical abilities
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently to research solutions and meet deadlines
