About the role

  • Providing strategic guidance on EDI initiatives across the business
  • Partnering with the executive leadership team to communicate EDI updates and progress
  • Driving solutions and outcomes in alignment with the Employee Impact strategy
  • Partnering with 3rd party vendors to design and deliver solutions
  • Identifying and creating opportunities for employees from inequity experiencing groups
  • Leading large scale projects across multiple business functions

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of Employee Impact experience, ideally within HR for the retail sector or a similar industry.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g. Psychology, HR, Business) or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in EDI and respect for Truth and Reconciliation.
  • Understanding of EDI best practices, Human Rights, Employment Equity legislation, and relevant legal principles.
  • Post secondary training in Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) with additional education in Indigenous Cultural Training.
  • Proven ability to build trust and relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly understand business strategy and connect it to people strategy.
  • Demonstrated coaching skills and experience in providing strategic guidance across all levels of leadership.
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to drive outcomes that support individuals, teams, and the business.
  • Strong verbal and written communicator.
