About the role

  • Assistant Program Manager working with individuals in the group home, overseeing service delivery and staff performance. Responsible for crisis intervention, transport, and community integration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with individuals and staff to ensure needs of individuals in the group home are met in all areas of service.
  • Supervise the house basic systems such as ISP and clinical plan implementation, community integration, medication administration, laundry, shopping, menu/meal planning and maintenance and safety of the group home.
  • Recruit, hire, train, assign, direct, counsel, discipline and evaluate performance of Group Home DSP Staff with the Program Manager.
  • Work in cooperation with staff to ensure client’s successful participation in recreational and community activities.
  • Liaison with families, guardians, DMH and other service providers.
  • Provide crisis intervention and emergency coverage for assigned site(s).
  • Identify and resolve problems that have resulted in an emergency situation.
  • Provide transportation for individuals as needed.
  • Position requires on-call coverage and some evening and weekend work.
  • Local travel to attend staff meetings and trainings, client functions/appointments and medical treatments is required.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Human Service experience, specifically with populations with severe & persistent mental illness and/or substance use disorder required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Skills: Must obtain Massachusetts MAP & CPR/First Aide certifications within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).
  • Valid Mass driver’s license required.
