About the role

  • Oversee character animation and integration, and set up procedural animation systems.
  • Identify potential animation issues, research new technologies, and develop solutions.
  • Investigate, diagnose, and resolve animation bugs across the game's systems.
  • Optimize character skeletons and animation assets to ensure optimal memory usage and frame-rate performance without compromising visual quality.
  • Share knowledge with animators and programmers and produce technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 12 years of animation experience in the video game industry
  • Strong technical skills in rigging and skinning, with a solid understanding of animation principles
  • Proficiency in Maya and Unreal Engine
  • Experience with multiplayer games
  • Knowledge of MEL and Python is a plus
