About the role
- Continuously monitor all applications, services, servers, and network devices using specific monitoring tools.
- Supervise connectivity between offices and with partners and allies to ensure there are no service interruptions.
- Detect, investigate, and resolve incidents and technical problems promptly.
- Escalate complex issues to senior technical teams or external vendors when necessary.
- Update and maintain technical documentation and maintenance records.
- Generate and analyze performance and availability reports of services and network devices.
- Identify trends and patterns that may indicate potential problems and propose proactive solutions.
- Propose and implement improvements in monitoring processes and incident management tools.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to improve network infrastructure and services.
- Act as a technical point of contact for queries related to the network infrastructure and monitored services.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of procedures, incidents, and implemented solutions.
- Ensure all procedures are up-to-date and accessible to the team
Requirements
- Technician or Technologist in Systems, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related fields.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of experience in similar roles, preferably in a NOC or SOC environment.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Site24x7, SolarWinds, among others.
- Knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS).
- Experience in server administration (Windows, Linux).
- Understanding of network protocols and services (HTTP, FTP, SMTP).
- OSI Model.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving orientation.
