About the role
- Ensure the company’s operations comply with Lithuanian financial regulations, MiCA requirements, EMI regulations, and applicable EU directives
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Lithuania and the EU affecting CASPs, EMIs, digital assets, and crypto-related services
- Draft, update, and implement internal compliance policies, procedures, and manuals in line with regulatory updates
- Perform compliance reviews and monitoring activities to assess adherence to regulatory and internal standards
- Support the design, implementation, and testing of compliance-related controls across the business
- Prepare and maintain compliance documentation, registers, and reports for internal stakeholders and regulators
- Act as a point of contact with the Bank of Lithuania and other relevant authorities for compliance-related matters
- Assist with regulatory submissions, filings, and responses to official requests
- Work closely with operational, legal, and risk teams to ensure that compliance requirements are embedded into products, services, and processes
- Support licensing, approvals, and other regulatory processes related to new services and products
- Conduct compliance training sessions for employees, focusing on Lithuanian regulatory requirements, MiCA obligations, and EMI rules
- Promote a strong compliance culture throughout the organisation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Compliance Officer or in a similar role within Lithuania’s financial services sector
- Strong understanding of Lithuanian regulatory framework for VASPs/CASPs, EMIs, MiCA requirements, and crypto-related legislation
- Experience working with the Bank of Lithuania or other Lithuanian regulatory bodies
- Fluent Lithuanian (mandatory)
- Fluent English (mandatory)
