About the role

  • Manager overseeing multi-location training operations for Navy Federal Credit Union. Ensuring compliance and effective training strategies for diverse business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct, and manage the functions of a multi-location full spectrum training operation
  • Ensure training is in full compliance with all applicable statutory requirements and Navy Federal policies
  • Support business division's senior management in developing and executing strategic plans
  • Evaluate, analyze, and adjust training to maximize impact on business results
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop training strategies, tactics and learning solutions that support company wide and business unit objectives
  • Influence the development of Department objectives and long range goals
  • Manage communication functions per department guidelines
  • Provide overall leadership to large strategic projects or programs
  • Act as an advocate and spokesperson for training to upper management and professional networks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Training and Development, adult education, Instructional Technology or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Master's Degree in Training and Development, adult education, Instructional Technology or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (desired)
  • Significant experience in leading, guiding and mentoring others
  • Significant experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
  • Extensive experience in member/customer service operations to include understanding of effective member/customer service philosophy
  • Advanced knowledge of principles and processes for measuring and evaluating program and individual effectiveness and developing alternative corrective actions
  • Ability to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely
  • Significant experience in managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
  • Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams and leading projects
  • Advanced skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership
  • Advanced skill in results-oriented leadership in a challenging environment
  • Expert skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
  • Advanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
