Responsibilities
- Maintain and control the general ledger reflecting the financial position of the company
- Ensure accounting activities comply with legal, regulatory and company policies
- Direct and review revenue & overheads accounting staff
- Verify revenues and expenses related to maritime freight
- Review freight charges with Bill of Lading
- Prepare and issue invoices for operational costs
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve invoice disputes
- Maintain financial records and reconcile bank accounts
- Ensure compliance with maritime industry regulations
- Present economic performance reports and analyze profitability
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration or a related major desired but not required
- Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position/industry
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English
- Bilingual, fluent in English & Spanish preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
