Responsibilities
Maintain and control the general ledger reflecting the financial position of the company
Ensure accounting activities comply with legal, regulatory and company policies
Direct and review revenue & overheads accounting staff
Verify revenues and expenses related to maritime freight
Review freight charges with Bill of Lading
Prepare and issue invoices for operational costs
Manage accounts receivable and resolve invoice disputes
Maintain financial records and reconcile bank accounts
Ensure compliance with maritime industry regulations
Present economic performance reports and analyze profitability
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Business Administration or a related major desired but not required
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position/industry
Excellent verbal and written communications skills required in English
Bilingual, fluent in English & Spanish preferred
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook
