About the role

  • Provide cashiering support and evaluation across all cashiering duties (BACS, faster payments, CHAPs, cheques)
  • Assist with cheque production for local and regional offices
  • Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions
  • Maintain the cashiering queries inbox and deliver timely responses to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with legal teams to prepare and send bills to clients
  • Review and process high volumes of invoices efficiently and accurately
  • Seek process improvement opportunities, focusing on leveraging technology for automation
  • Adapt duties as priorities evolve within the team
  • Work as part of the Working Capital team supporting multiple sites (Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds)

Requirements

  • Previous experience within an accounts/financial transactional role
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in other Microsoft packages
  • Ambitious, results-driven, and eager to learn
  • Ability to perform transactional tasks with speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work hybrid and be in the office on Tuesday and Thursday
  • Knowledge of SRA Accounts Rules (desirable)
  • Knowledge of CHAPS, BACS, and Faster Payments (desirable)
  • Demonstrable experience in a billing/legal cashiering role (desirable)
  • Familiarity with high-volume or shared services (desirable)
