About the role

  • Represent mortgage lenders and investor clients in GA judicial residential foreclosure
  • Manage case load of GA judicial foreclosure matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors
  • Appear in court and argue motions and appear at trials necessary to the successful completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, eviction, title curative/ title disputes, HOA/COA issues and other matters
  • Communicate with clients regularly for updates and case resolution
  • Analyze loan files, title reports and other client documents
  • Draft motions and prepare written discovery and responses
  • Prepare for and attend trials
  • Legal research and writing are required

Requirements

  • J.D. degree, licensed in Georgia and in good standing with the Georgia Bar
  • Minimum 2 years motion practice experience
  • Minimum 2 years courtroom experience
  • Knowledge of Georgia Mortgage Foreclosure Law
  • Knowledge of Georgia Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules
  • Previous experience with foreclosures involving residential and commercial property
