About the role
- Machine Learning Intern improving AI functionalities in a leading SaaS legal tech company. Working on model architecture, fine-tuning, and optimizing AI pipelines with high-quality datasets.
Responsibilities
- Improve the performance and impact of AI features within the DiliTrust product suite
- Optimize both our in-house LLM and the workflows that leverage it
- Select model architecture and perform fine-tuning using high-quality legal datasets
- End-to-end optimization of AI pipelines that power our legal features
- Evaluate and compare open-source LLMs for legal extraction and reasoning tasks
- Create and refine legal datasets for supervised and reinforcement learning (RL)-based training
- Analyze current AI pipelines to identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and accuracy gaps
- Audit internal datasets to verify coverage and annotation accuracy
- Improve prompting strategies tailored to the chosen architecture
- Preserve general capabilities in phase 1 and specialize in phase 2
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an engineering school or a computer-related program
- Pursuing a Master’s degree (M2) or equivalent final qualification
- Available for a full-time 6-month internship
- Strong interest in software engineering, web development, or distributed systems
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java)
- Eagerness to learn, curiosity, and a willingness to work in a collaborative team
- Good communication skills and the ability to ask questions, share ideas, and receive feedback
