About the role

  • Assist senior attorneys in providing legal counsel to clients, primarily in coverage and bad faith cases.
  • Conduct legal research and draft coverage opinions.
  • Take Examinations Under Oath (EUOs).
  • Draft and litigate declaratory judgment actions.
  • Communicate with clients, insureds, and opposing counsel.
  • Draft and respond to discovery in coverage and bad faith cases.
  • Assist with trial and deposition preparation.
  • Work on pre-suit liability matters, including reviewing medical and billing records and engaging in pre-suit settlement negotiations.
  • Assist with multiple competing claims cases.
  • Maintain up-to-date client files for easy access by the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Florida Bar Admission.
  • Judicial clerkship and law review experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
  • Must meet billing goal expectations.
