About the role

  • Manage the buying process for a given set of goods
  • Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets
  • Place and follow-up on POs
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution
  • Manage problems and schedule changes
  • Update ERP
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience; may lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements
  • Explain information; develop skills to bring team members to consensus
  • Convey performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues
  • Use judgment to propose solutions outside of set parameters for complicated day-to-day problems
  • Prioritize information for data analysis; use technical experience and analytical thinking; use multiple internal and limited external sources to arrive at decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School Diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in manufacturing or supply chain
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship now or in the future
  • Must work a minimum of 3 days a week onsite at the Greenville, SC Garlington Road site
  • Role is restricted to U.S. persons due to access to export-controlled technology; proof of status required prior to employment
  • SAP experience (desired)
  • Experience in Procurement or Planning (desired)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills (desired)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems (desired)
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs (desired)
