About the role

  • Lead Director managing a team in growth intelligence at CVS Health. Delivering analytics, market insights, and innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the head of market intelligence in Enterprise Strategy
  • Build and lead a small team of analysts in the delivery across three growth and innovation oriented workstreams
  • Manage analysts and deliver analytics and reports for the CEO and Executive Leadership team, including cost driver trends analysis, CEO-level dashboards, and ad-hoc macro risk assessments and scenario assessments
  • Collaborate closely with CVS Health finance and business teams
  • Identify, lead, and launch market studies, de novo growth assessments and studies, market sizing and TAM analysis, and geographic insights
  • Enable Enterprise Strategy and senior leaders on decision making for long-term growth planning
  • Work with functional teams to build out new capabilities that improve delivery of these studies
  • Implement and oversee an annual Innovation Challenge
  • Oversee initiatives that build external relationships to drive internal innovation and new ways of thinking across Enterprise Strategy, including channel and affiliate partnership development, vendor evaluations and technology demos, and workshops/conferences

Requirements

  • Previous consulting or investment banking experience
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Strong understanding of health care economics, and financial and operational drivers of health care businesses, with exposure to at least multiple businesses - payer, provider, PBM, pharmacy
  • 10+ years of experience and strong command of business case development and financial modeling, including market maps, financial forecasting, and benchmarking
  • 6+ years proven experience in executing revenue and profitability, comparatives, precedent transactions, break-even, and sensitivity or scenario analyses using external and internal data sources
  • 6+ years’ experience working with equity research platforms and data sets
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and advanced skills in Excel
  • Significant experience working with financial data and systems
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed. Less than 10% of time
