About the role

  • Achieve sustainable profitable growth of assigned Key Customer Account(s) by driving the value selling team effort
  • Be the expert on the customer and its needs; develop winning strategy and Account Business Plan (ABP)
  • Proactively offer valuable solutions across Sandvik's product and service offerings; stimulate creativity and innovation
  • Lead management and building of customer relationships; involve internal Sandvik network and Business Line Managers
  • Negotiate customer contracts and prepare offers; apply value-based pricing and finalize agreements
  • Manage sales opportunities from scoping to negotiated agreement; drive major tenders and global agreements
  • Prepare and achieve revenue budgets and unit sales targets; review portfolio pricing, mix, and conditions
  • Develop and lead an engaged Account Team; mentor, coach, delegate, and follow up on action plans
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities to provide consistent service and manage customer's expectations and escalations
  • Gather customer intelligence (e.g., fleet analysis), monitor competitive activity and customer satisfaction

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering, or equivalent demonstrated knowledge/preparation/expertise
  • Business development and industrial sales experience with demonstrated growth results
  • Experience relevant to the Responsibilities and Competencies of the KAM position
  • Customer relationship management experience
  • Advanced skills in Account Management, Business Acumen, Selling, Negotiating, and Sales Closing
  • Proficient in Business Development, Value-based Selling, Sales Proposals and Presentation, Project Management
  • Experience managing in a matrix environment and team management/team building
  • Relevant industry knowledge (mining/rock processing) or ability to learn technical details
  • Strong networking, relationship management, listening, written communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, accountability, creativity, and results orientation
