About the role

  • Act as the primary interface between project delivery and BAU support teams for service handovers
  • Coordinate and manage transition of new or changed IT services into operational support, ensuring readiness across people, process, and tools
  • Coordinate post-go-live support activities, stabilization and effective knowledge transfer to support teams
  • Oversee onboarding activities for new locations into the organisation’s IT service framework
  • Ensure documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles are created and maintained
  • Organise and facilitate lessons learned sessions and share insights with project teams and stakeholders
  • Hold or coordinate training sessions and workshops for internal and external support teams on the operational support model
  • Collaborate with tooling and platform teams to align monitoring, reporting, and automation capabilities with operational needs
  • Identify improvement opportunities in processes, documentation, and support tools and liaise for service improvements
  • Participate in change and release planning to align transition timelines and minimise operational risks

Requirements

  • Proven experience in IT service delivery, service transition, or operations management
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes, particularly Service Transition, Knowledge Management, and Continual Service Improvement
  • Familiarity with or previous experience working with ERP and MES systems
  • Experience working with support tooling (e.g., ITSM platforms, monitoring tools, CMDB, KB systems)
  • Excellent coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Structured and analytical thinking; ability to translate business requirements and technical changes into operational practices
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with mature judgment
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex matrix environment with virtual, multi-cultural, geographically diverse teams
  • Strong command of spoken and written English (must); knowledge of German is a plus
  • Valuable: ITIL v3/v4 Foundation certification
  • Valuable: Background in IT outsourcing, service contracts, or managed services
  • Valuable: Experience in cloud infrastructure management (AWS, Azure, Data Center)
  • Valuable: Knowledge of WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, and IT operations monitoring solutions
  • Important: Valid work and residence permit required for non-EU applicants
