About the role

  • Lead IT projects, including the design, implementation and integration of new IT systems and services;
  • Monitor and track the performance of technological resources, identifying and proposing improvements, alternatives or new solutions;
  • Manage critical IT incidents with a focus on root cause identification;
  • Manage changes and monitor the area’s action plans;
  • Monitor and analyze new technologies and industry best practices to propose innovations and changes aligned with the company’s strategies and needs;
  • Manage supplier contracts to ensure achievement of established targets in Service Desk, Infrastructure and Database areas;
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and adherence to company policies and security standards;
  • Contribute to the development of IT strategies, budget, architecture, processes and metrics;
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team by delegating and setting priorities, promoting engagement, recognition and development of team members, as well as monitoring performance;
  • Develop successors and foster a culture aligned with the company’s policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or related field;
  • MBA or postgraduate degree in Technology is a plus;
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing IT in medium and large companies (over 500 employees);
  • Experience in infrastructure modernization and cybersecurity projects;
  • Experience managing end-user support teams;
  • Strong capability to create policies, work instructions, service catalogs and training programs;
  • Experience implementing Agile and PMBOK methodologies for infrastructure projects;
  • Experience negotiating and managing IT contracts;
  • Skills and experience in IT budget structuring.
  • Hard Skills:
  • Knowledge of ITIL and COBIT 5 Foundation is desirable;
  • Networking and routing — switches, VLAN, VRF, access points (APs) and routers;
  • Fortinet and Check Point firewalls;
  • Virtualization with VMware and VMware vSAN;
  • Storage systems and SAN networks;
  • Monitoring tools (SNMP, Zabbix, Grafana);
  • Administration of backup routines, recovery and testing (Veeam and NetBackup);
  • Oracle and MySQL databases;
  • Office 365;
  • Service Catalog and ITSM management;
  • On-premises data center management.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Motivation and leadership to direct the IT team's focus, acting as an organizational pillar;
  • Creativity and initiative to anticipate problems and solutions;
  • Adaptability, flexibility and self-learning in pursuit of business results;
  • Ability to delegate and a collaborative spirit for working in multidisciplinary teams;
  • Effective communication with the team, other company leaders and stakeholders;
