About the role
- Financial Services Administrator providing support to various Financial Services operations. Involves full cycle accounts payables, receivables, and accounting reporting in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to a variety of Financial Services’ operations functions including full cycle accounts payables and receivables, accounting and financial reporting and annual budget preparation.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and Assembly financial policies and procedures in order to process MLA travel claims and allowances and support constituency office accounting and expense procedures.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in finance or a related program, plus at least 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with an ERP system such as Workday.
- Preference may be given to candidates with the following:
- Successful completion of post-secondary courses in accounting or business.
- Experience with electronic workflow software such as CaseWare.
- Experience with information management and privacy laws and best practices.
