About the role

  • Financial Analyst responsible for analyzing financial reports and budgets for a non-profit organization. Collaborating with the accounting department and ensuring transparency in financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor accounting entries performed by an external accounting firm to ensure reports accurately reflect operational activity;
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, accounting statements and budget projections;
  • Perform monthly and annual account closings in partnership with the accounting department and accounts receivable and payable teams;
  • Prepare and monitor the monthly cash flow;
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget, ensuring alignment with the Institute’s strategic objectives;
  • Monitor budget execution, identify variances and propose corrective actions;
  • Develop financial performance indicators in accordance with headquarters' metrics and create dashboards to track results;
  • Monitor the financial execution of the social projects supported by the Institute, ensuring proper use of funds;
  • Ensure financial compliance with sponsor and donor requirements by preparing transparency reports;
  • Propose improvements to processes, internal controls and financial policies;
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and compliance;
  • Monitor receivables, contacting donors, sponsors and partners to secure collections;
  • Conduct monthly follow-up on collections from donors and corporate partners, actively managing delinquencies;
  • Manage relationships with banking institutions for fee negotiations, registrations and issuance of bank slips and financial investments;
  • Oversee daily reconciliation of received payments, ensuring all amounts are properly recorded and categorized in the financial system;
  • Monitor donors’ and supporters’ payment histories and report recurring delinquencies to management;
  • Negotiate and renew insurance policies, maintaining a close relationship with the broker to secure the best terms and coverage for the Ronald Institute and other program institutions;
  • Monitor policy expiration dates and ensure timely renewals to avoid gaps in insurance coverage.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
  • Postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the third sector or in non-profit organizations.
  • Proven experience in bank reconciliations and managing relationships with banks.
  • Advanced Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Brazilian accounting standards.
  • Understanding of tax and accounting specifics applicable to the third sector.
  • English at least intermediate.
