About the role

  • Provide a range of strategic Finance advice, analysis and support for key business areas/portfolios
  • Proactively manage senior relationships to provide business insights, decision support and guidance
  • Conduct financial analysis, research, reviews and/or audits to support functional goals/objectives
  • Act as interface with Finance partners/leaders and external parties
  • Lead or guide teams of specialists/experts and undertake complex projects and initiatives
  • Develop innovative solutions, financial models, methodologies and frameworks
  • Communicate complex concepts and convert information to compelling business context and advice
  • Lead interpretation of complex business issues, generate insights and identify opportunities for growth
  • Partner with business to develop financial plans, forecasts and significant business cases
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, act as custodian of cost and ensure compliance with controls
  • Identify, recommend and support remediation plans to address performance, risk and governance issues
  • Create "story-telling" presentations on business performance and deliver presentations to management
  • Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert and mentor others

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • Accounting or financial designation preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing and ambiguous initiatives or requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills to meet tight timeframes
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, confident presentation and facilitation skills
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills, with experience in collecting and organizing information
  • Experience formulating data analysis through data visualization, profiling, segmentation, and advanced modeling and analytics
  • Experience developing business cases and financial plans/forecasts
  • Knowledge of taxation and accounting practices
  • Familiarity with financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and compliance requirements
  • Experience participating in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives and providing subject matter expertise
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable recommendations
