About the role
- Senior Lawyer advising clients on financial operations and regulatory compliance. Provide legal consultancy related to Brazilian Central Bank regulations and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients acting as lenders, borrowers or guarantors in credit transactions, and in structuring guarantees and complex financings, both domestic and cross-border;
- Provide legal counsel on regulatory matters related to financial and capital markets law, with a particular focus on regulation issued by the Central Bank of Brazil. Areas include, among others, foreign exchange and international capital regulations, regulation of financial institutions, payment institutions, financial market infrastructure, virtual assets and VASPs, asset tokenization, derivatives transactions, Basel standards and capital requirements;
- Support clients in authorization processes before the Central Bank of Brazil, including authorizations for changes of control, corporate reorganizations, election/appointment of directors and officers, among others;
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and projects, ensuring technical quality and compliance with deadlines;
- Monitor regulatory and legislative trends, contributing strategic insights to clients and to the development of the practice area.
Requirements
- Law degree;
- Active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association);
- Experience with debt financing transactions, domestic and cross-border, and familiarity with debt structures in the capital markets;
- Experience with regulation of the Central Bank of Brazil;
- Fluent English;
- Availability to work in a hybrid model at Itaim Bibi, São Paulo.
