About the role

  • Win new business across multiple sectors in the SME marketplace within assigned North or East London depot territories
  • Generate new business opportunities by targeting SME businesses across all market sectors
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to meet monthly and annual sales targets and KPIs
  • Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, site visits, pricing, negotiation and closing
  • Liaise with local Depot, RSM, RBDM, Customer Services and other internal departments to ensure smooth customer interactions
  • Participate in regional sales campaigns and strategies aligned to the regional business plan
  • Ensure all leads, activity and contracts are recorded on the Biffa operating system
  • Build and maintain an in-depth understanding of Biffa’s range of services and solutions through training and collaboration

Requirements

  • Proven record of delivering new business sales and generating a sales pipeline
  • Ability to identify, nurture and develop new business opportunities
  • Understanding of sales methods and KPI’s and how to use them to build and plan for success
  • Excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills
  • Some knowledge of the Waste Industry and Waste Management is desirable but not essential
