About the role

  • Sales Specialist managing key accounts in construction materials distribution for a leading firm. Engaging in proactive sales tasks and supplier relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Sales specialist in field sales for commercial and key accounts in civil engineering wholesale, including proactive sales activities and management of supplier relationships
  • Purchasing and price negotiations for stocked and project-based business
  • Project-related bid calculation, follow-up and active order securing
  • Collaboration with site management / regional sales management and central purchasing for the strategic realignment of civil engineering sales in the Eastern sales region
  • Continuation of existing customer relationships and development of new customer and industry relationships in the newly established sales region
  • Participation in planning and implementing sales and marketing strategies as well as organizing and conducting marketing, training and specialist events
  • Contribution to assortment and sales strategy in the sales region while monitoring inventory levels and ensuring efficient inventory management (regional hub warehouse) with involvement of purchasing

Requirements

  • Successfully completed commercial or technical vocational training in the construction or trade environment, or equivalent qualifications
  • Professional experience in the sales of construction materials for civil engineering (sewer and road construction), preferably from project or site-based business
  • Ability to work independently and to motivate teams in the specialist construction trade
  • Strong customer focus, assertiveness and team orientation
  • Result- and goal-oriented mindset in trade sales
  • Confident use of ERP systems and Office tools; willingness to travel regionally
  • Native-level German language skills
