About the role
- Events Specialist leading planning and execution of events for Abacum's marketing strategy. Designing memorable in-person and virtual events to drive brand visibility and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead in-person and virtual events portfolio
- Define and scale the events roadmap (conferences, user summits, partner events, dinners, offsites) in alignment with go-to-market objectives
- Identify high-impact event and sponsorship opportunities and own the decision process
- Set event goals, budgets, KPIs, and measurement frameworks
- Craft bold, memorable experiences that set Abacum apart in a crowded market
- Own end-to-end event execution with operational excellence
- Lead onsite operations to ensure flawless delivery and attendee experience
- Manage event budgets, P&L, and financial oversight
- Analyze event outcomes and drive continuous improvements
- Establish and document event playbooks, templates, workflows, checklists
- Mentor and collaborate with vendors, internal contributors, and event staff
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in event management, marketing events, or experiential roles
- Strong operational & project management skills, with experience running end-to-end events
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience building processes, playbooks, systems to scale events
- Comfortable in ambiguity; entrepreneurial mindset
- Experience in SaaS or B2B tech companies (Preferred)
- NYC-based or willing to work onsite as needed (Preferred)
- Experience with hybrid / virtual event technology and execution (Preferred)
- History of delivering events with measurable business impact (pipeline, brand lift, customer engagement) (Preferred)
