About the role

  • Report directly to the Director of EHS on all safety-related matters.
  • Foster and maintain a strong, proactive safety culture across internal teams and subcontractors.
  • Implement and enforce corporate safety policies and procedures, including Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans, safety observations, incident investigations, and training programs.
  • Conduct pre-mobilization safety assessments to identify and address potential risks.
  • Manage on-site safety for multiple active construction projects.
  • Maintain a strong field presence—conduct jobsite inspections, oversee training and compliance, and lead incident investigations.
  • Work independently in the field, ensuring consistent application of safety protocols.
  • Serve as the primary safety liaison between Solar Landscape and subcontractors; conduct regular site visits to build relationships, identify safety gaps, perform audits, and provide actionable feedback.
  • Drive continuous improvement and clearly communicate the business value of a strong EHS program to stakeholders at all levels to ensure OSHA-compliant, injury-free worksites.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Ability to lead independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and accessing rooftops using ladders or stair towers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently in front of groups.
  • Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
  • Knowledgeable in current health and safety regulations, practices, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Skilled in evaluating potential physical hazards and implementing effective controls.
  • Ability to stay up to date on evolving safety laws, codes, and compliance requirements.
  • Experienced EHS Manager (field presence on construction sites and solar assets).
