About the role

  • Provide sales training to Sales Agencies and Distributor customers on the benefits of Keystone and our products.
  • Develop long-term oriented relationships with specifiers, customers, sales agents, and end-users to drive demand for products.
  • Oversee and manage the performance of independent sales agencies, ensuring they meet company goals and performance standards.
  • Develop sales plans with sales agencies and department leadership to service designated territories.
  • Analyze sales trends to identify opportunities and develop strategy with sales agents to capture opportunities.
  • Become a market expert regarding Keystone's and competitor products, pricing, and trends; report findings to team management.
  • Travel to markets to call on distributors, specifiers, and end-users and update sales agents with relevant information.
  • Maintain contact with existing customers for potential ongoing orders and manage contact information for decision-makers.
  • Display and attend trade shows; cold call to develop new business.
  • Work closely with Inside Sales on current and future opportunities and advise product team on market trends.

Requirements

  • Experience in the lighting industry is required; those without lighting experience will not be considered.
  • A Bachelor's in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including an exceptional ability to listen and formulate responses that cater to the other person's needs.
  • Proficiency with computers and software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM software, and ability to learn new computer systems.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Exceptional relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Willingness to travel to markets to call on distributors, specifiers, and end-users.
