About the role

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director — Show Quality to define and implement governance frameworks and performance standards for all shows worldwide.
  • Ensure consistent application of quality principles related to artistic performance, coaching, costumes, and performance medicine.
  • Align the department strategy with organizational objectives and overall creative direction.
  • Define, own and be accountable for the budget, schedule and execution of show refreshes.
  • Act as the guardian of quality during refreshes, show evolutions and creative development.
  • Centralize all requests coming from shows to the Concept Repository, challenge Artistic Direction (AD) decisions and act as the primary approver.
  • Manage resources assigned to show refreshes and evolutions.
  • Prepare and present impact analyses and business cases related to refreshes.
  • Following a decision to evolve a show, plan and execute the necessary steps.
  • Oversee the work of designers.
  • Supervise operations related to artists passing through IHQ for training and development, including planning, resource management and program delivery.
  • Lead the planning and coordination of training capacities in collaboration with key departments (Coaching, Performance Medicine, Casting, etc.).
  • Ensure optimal use of internal facilities and staff to support artist development and show readiness.
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team dedicated to show quality: mentor, coach and support team members to encourage growth and excellence.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the department budget, including forecasting, tracking and financial reporting of expenditures.
  • Ensure efficient allocation of human and material resources across projects and priorities.
  • Monitor performance against budget and adjust resource allocation as needed.
  • Work closely with the Performance Medicine, Coaching, Casting and Show Management departments to coordinate workforce planning and project assignments.
  • Act as the liaison between IHQ and show teams to ensure alignment on standards, expectations and support needs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of leadership experience in live entertainment, theatre, circus arts or a related field.
  • Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in dynamic, high-performance environments.
  • Strong expertise in budget management, resource planning and operational execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with both artistic sensitivity and strong business acumen.
  • Recognized skills in organization, communication and problem-solving.
  • High adaptability, resilience and ability to manage ambiguity in a creative environment.
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) required.
