Responsibilities
Identify, target, and develop new business relationships with our ideal clients: ISP’s, Municipalities, infrastructure GC’s, and power companies.
Prospect, pitch, and close partnership deals.
Maintain accurate records on CRM to track leads, pipeline velocity, and customer interactions.
Attend industry conferences and networking events to represent Backbone Fiber.
Develop RFP and bid responses in collaboration with operations.
Collaborate with leadership on pricing, marketing, and long-term account strategy.
Attend site visits with Project Managers to stay up to date on the service we provide to our customers.
Help define processes for lead gen, contract negotiation, and post-sale handoff.
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and product knowledge.
Requirements
4-8 years of experience in sales or business development in one of these industries: telecom, construction, or infrastructure services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results driven.
Experience with CRM platforms such as Monday.com or similar.
Ability to learn technical concepts related to fiber optics, splicing, and installation.
Comfortable with cold outreach and high-volume prospecting.
Associates or bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field is preferred.
