About the role

  • Responsible for recruitment, outreach and registration of prospective international students
  • Coordinate and align strategies to meet Academy of Art University’s international enrollment goals
  • Manage and lead a team of International Admissions Representatives; monitor progress, provide feedback, coaching, and accountability
  • Identify, develop, evaluate and manage international educational partnerships to increase brand awareness and enrollment
  • Conduct market research on international student markets and recommend strategies to executive leadership
  • Implement outreach and recruitment strategies in collaboration with academic and administrative partners
  • Work with international student advisors at high schools and community colleges on transfer opportunities
  • Train team on initial immigration, SEVIS requirements, English proficiency standards, policies around international admissions, and transcript evaluation
  • Advise on escalated matters and contribute to operational processes supporting international students
  • Manage and maintain the International Admissions budget and provide regular updates to the Executive Vice President
  • Coordinate and participate in recurring Admissions events, including team work schedules and event operational set-up

Requirements

  • Experience recruiting and enrolling international students
  • Experience managing, motivating, and training admissions teams
  • Knowledge of SEVIS, initial immigration matters, and English proficiency standards
  • Experience with transcript evaluation and incoming transfer related issues
  • Ability to research international student markets and make informed recommendations
  • Experience developing, evaluating, and managing international educational partnerships
  • Budget management experience and ability to provide regular budget updates to leadership
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration with academic and administrative campus partners
  • Ability to coordinate and participate in admissions events and manage team schedules
  • Willingness to reside in the vicinity of the Bay Area or visit campus as needed
