About the role
- Director of Grid Operations Technology leading engineering for Eversource’s grid modernization. Overseeing transmission SCADA EMS and distribution systems while ensuring operational compliance.
Responsibilities
- Key leader in Engineering organization responsible for implementation of the Company’s strategic technology roadmap for real time systems
- Oversee engineering teams responsible for maintaining Transmission SCADA EMS
- Direct engineering teams responsible for maintaining distribution SCADA systems
- Provide engineering leadership for teams building, maintaining, and upgrading the Company’s DMS instances
- Ensure day-to-day engineering support for transmission and distribution system operations
- Develop and gain senior executive level approval of an enterprise strategic roadmap and investment plan for grid modernization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related discipline
- Minimum of 12 years of experience with successful engineering leadership
- Direct experience with electric transmission and distribution energy industry preferred
- Deep understanding of power systems engineering concepts and tools
- Strong analytical skills including experience using qualitative tools in strategic development
- Demonstrated business development aptitude with strong presentation skills and executive presence
- Strong leadership skills to work throughout the organization
- Ability to effectively facilitate the execution of large initiatives
