About the role

  • Operations Specialist managing various business operations for a startup building AI-powered risk assessment technology. Engaging in grant management, finance, systems administration, and vendor negotiations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of grant reporting including quarterly reports, RFPs, payment requests, and compliance documentation.
  • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for the company's outsourced accounting, finance, and tax partners.
  • Review and validate financial reports, budgets, and forecasts prepared by external partners.
  • Manage internal tools and platforms and evaluate software systems as the company scales.
  • Negotiate vendor and service contracts and manage office operations and procurement.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in operations, business administration, or a similar generalist role.
  • Startup or high-growth experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting and finance fundamentals.
  • Strong systems thinking: you can evaluate, implement, and manage software tools.
  • Proficiency in using work management platforms like Slack, Airtable, Linear, and Asana.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, especially under competing deadlines.
  • Clear, professional communication.
