About the role

  • Establish a consistent and effective approach towards Data Quality across 1st Central
  • Collaborate with Data Stewards and Data Custodians
  • Continuously improve Data Quality through engaging storytelling
  • Enable teams to understand and trust the data they use
  • Drive a culture of Data Quality by design
  • Support the delivery of the Data Quality Strategy
  • Work with Data Stewards to define, document and prioritise Data Quality rules
  • Embed key Data Quality rules with IT colleagues and the wider Data and Analytics team
  • Aid in the identification and mitigation of Data Quality risks

Requirements

  • Good understanding of all aspects of Data Quality
  • Experience of assessing and driving improvement in Data Quality
  • Experience of taking complex information and translating into easily digestible information for less technical colleagues
  • Knowledge of FCA requirements (including individual responsibilities in relation to Consumer Duty)
  • Experience of building strong mutually beneficial relationships across a business
  • Experience of driving continual improvement through agile ways of working
  • Experience of General Insurance practices and processes would be advantageous.
  • Experience or an interest in leveraging Data Science, Machine Learning and/or AI in the area of Data Quality
